Owner's Representative Services Milwaukee

Owner’s Representative: Why you need one

An owner’s representative’s role is to advocate for your best interests if you are unable to frequently visit the job site. We apply excellent project management skills and a proven track record of coordinating team members, schedules, materials, equipment, and budgets to make sure your project goals are achieved.

There are many inherent risks in a significant capital project. Many moving parts are involved, with a lot of money at stake. Moreover, each project is unique, with substantial differences in scope, objectives, budget, teams, schedules, and regulations.

Even experienced owners can be overwhelmed by the increasing complexity of today’s projects. And as an owner, you already have a full set of existing responsibilities outside the project.

What we do

With many years of residential construction experience and collaboration with architects, designers, and other contractors on a wide variety of projects, we will ensure that:

  • You get the work you paid for.
  • The plans and specifications are followed.

Existing clients have hired us to represent them on out-of-state projects. We also have been recommended to oversee projects in the Milwaukee area where another builder was used.

In a large project, different consultants and contractors each have their own ideas and sometimes conflicting interests. But with expertise in all aspects of construction (planning, design, architecture, engineering, etc.), an owner’s representative’s only interest is executing the owner’s project goals and objectives.

Hiring us as your owner’s representative is the safest way to appropriately manage and mitigate the inherent risks involved in the project development process.

We will serve as the liaison between the various parties involved in your project, which may include:

  • Architects
  • Engineers
  • Contractors
  • Testing agencies
  • Utility providers
  • Municipal authorities
  • Financial institutions
  • FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) vendors
  • Other specialty consultants and third-party vendors

As your owner’s representative, we can also help with project elements including:

  • Securing land, permits and financial incentives for the project.
  • Ensuring the project complies with local and municipal requirements.

When to hire an owner’s representative

When hiring an owner’s representative, the earlier in the project, the better. We recommend bringing us in at the planning stage to make sure the architect and design team is producing documents that match your expectations.

We also decode construction terminology to make sure you understand the work being done.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the demands of a complex project, or want an outside expert to help ensure that you get the best value for your investment, we are ready to help.
