Project Scope: Large addition and whole home remodel.
Challenges: Our team worked a majority of this home addition in the dead of winter, so we had difficulty keeping the elements out of the concrete we were working with. We erected tarps over the concrete to ensure the basement wouldn’t get flooded by rain or snow.
Unique Circumstances: The brick we used for the home addition is a reclaimed brick called Chicago Pink that’s not made anymore. The bricks were removed and salvaged from another building—likely in Chicago or in Milwaukee—and resold to contractors and homeowners here in Milwaukee.
Results: A gentleman lived here with his children and they were very happy with their beautiful new home!
